Storage Tips – How to Pick What Size Storage Locker Will Work For You
Having the right size storage unit is one of the best ways to improve your storage experience. The key is to make sure your storage unit is large enough for your needs but not too large that you’re paying more than you need to.
The best way to pick the right size of storage unit is to take a general inventory of the items you need to store.
- For large things, like furniture, take measurements of each item.
- Make an estimate of the number of boxes and their sizes
- Note any awkwardly shaped items that will not be packed in boxes.
Always lean on the side of over estimating how much space you will need, as there are always items that are forgotten and to improve your overall experience. For longer term storage, we also recommend leaving a small space to allow for airflow and ventilation that keeps your belongings dry and crisp and allows for a clear pathway to all of your boxes and belongings.
